Dr Adewale Adeyanju, the President General, of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), has trained the union’s secretariat staff on modern office techniques for effective operations.
Adeyanju in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos said the secretariat staff were drawn from the union’s headquarters, the Nigerian Port Authority; dockworkers; shipping; and the seafarers branches of the union.

The newly appointed Managing Director of Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA), Mr Bamanga Usman, has unveiled plans for the future growth of the agency, inline with President Tinubu’s economic agenda.
Usman made this known on Wednesday when he took over from the former MD Sen. Tijjani Kaura, in Abuja.

Insurance companies in Nigeria transferred 63.4 per cent of the businesses they generated in the second quarter of 2023, Q2’23, to their foreign counterparts.
The volume of the transfers breaches the local content law which stipulates that only 30 per cent of oil and gas businesses should be ceded to foreign insurers while 70 per cent must be domiciled in Nigeria.… Read the rest
NIGERIA and African Export Import Bank, Afreximbank, yesterday, signed an agreement targeted at funding the nation’s $200 million Liquefied Natural Gas, LNG project, located in Bayelsa State.
