Controversy trails sale of Eni onshore oil assets to Oando

THE oil and gas industry was, weekend, thrown into controversy over the sale of Eni’s subsidiary, Nigerian Agip Oil Company Limited, NAOC, oil assets – Oil Mining Lease, OMLs 60, 61, 62, and 63 – to Oando Oil Limited, OOL.

The controversy is based on the fact that ExxonMobil was previously stopped from selling its  entire share capital of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, MPNU, to Seplat Energy Plc.… Read the rest

Petroleum ministry, NMDPRA, Sahara Group collaborate on energy transition

Sahara Energy International Singapore, a Sahara Group Company, has called for more collaboration on gas development to accelerate the nation’s march towards energy transition, as well as the entire continent of Africa.

Oil production rises by 8.2% to 1.41mbpd

NIGERIA’s oil production rose by 8.4 percent in the month of August to 1.41 million barrels per day compared to 1.30 million barrels per day recorded in July.

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, in the August oil production report released yesterday disclosed that liquid crude production, stripped of condensate oil, was 1.08mbpd, an increase of 8.2 percent compared to 1.09mbpd recorded in July.

1800 containers trapped at Lagos ports over sharp practices by Maritime Police –NAGAFF

The Compliance Team of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders NAGAFF has alleged that over 1, 800 laden containers are currently trapped at the various seaports in Lagos due to  sharp practices by Maritime Police.

Speaking with journalists after a protest at Apapa Port at the weekend, the National Coordinator, NAGAFF 100 per cent Compliance Team, Alhaji Tanko Ibrahim,  expressed worries that if not checked, the trend might fuel port and cargo congestion, especially as the end of year activities approach.Read the rest
